Gilbert has a long track record in the textile industry, having worked for a number of high profile companies over the course of his career. Straight out of school, at the ripe age of 16, he started a mechanical apprenticeship with Sulzer Rüti in Switzerland. He went on to work as a technician globally on their weaving machines.
In 1991 Gilbert transferred to Sulzer, USA, working as a technician for the US markets. He eventually joined Benninger Corporation in the US and was factory trained in Switzerland.
With over 40 years of textile experience under his belt, Gilbert now acts as Plant Technician and Maintenance Manager at WarpTek. He’s in charge of keeping our machinery running at optimum levels, as well as updating the machinery to meet the ever changing needs of our clients.
